Witness List

The following is a list of the witnesses who gave testimony during the trial of Patricia MacCallum, convicted of murdering her husband Michael Christopher MacCallum on November 16, 2012. The dates of the trial are listed at the bottom of the page. Since the defense decided to not call any witnesses, everyone on this list gave testimony for the prosecution.

Ms. Samantha Adams, former fiancĂ©e of Chris, Medford, OR
  • Gave testimony on Day 11 about being engaged to Chris for three months at the beginning of 2012 and his devotion to his children.
Deputy James Biddle, Jackson County Sheriff
  • Gave testimony on Day 1 and Day 2 about taking and working the missing person report from Patricia on Monday, November 19, 2012.
Mr. Shawn Center, Assistant Manager and Cashier, Ruch Country Store
  • Gave testimony on Day 3 about possibly seeing Chris, Patricia, and Amber in the store on November 16, 2012, when they were on their way to the campsite.
Deputy Jason Denton, Jackson County Sheriff
  • Gave testimony on Day 2 about going out to the campsite with Deputy Eric Johnson and discovering the tent rolled up and thrown off a cliff with what looked like a body inside.
Detective Jess Elzy, Oregon State Police
  • Gave testimony on Day 2 about his role in the investigation: interviewing Amber Lubbers and John Singley and visiting the Ruch Country Store.
Detective Sergeant Colin Fagan, Digital Evidence Forensic Examiner, Jackson County Sheriff
  • Gave testimony on Day 5 about the cell phone records from Chris' iPhone and Patricia's Samsung S model Aviator, android phone.
Sergeant Michael Gilley, Commander of Special Operations, Siskiyou County Sheriff
  • Gave testimony on Day 6 about attempts to recover Patricia's handgun from the pool below the waterfall.
Mr. Jeremiah Hills, former boyfriend of Patricia, Medford, OR
  • Gave testimony on Day 8 about his relationship with Patricia, the fact that Patricia wanted Chris killed, and the letter Patricia wrote him from jail after she was arrested.
Mr. Brian Inman, Technician, Siskiyou County District Attorney
  • Gave testimony on Day 8 and Day 11 about the text message conversations between Chris and Patricia and presented videos of the campsite and of the reenactment with Amber Lubbers on May 15, 2013.
Ms. Misty James, Driver/Dispatcher, Checker Cab Company, Medford, OR
  • Gave testimony on Day 12 about Chris and his plans to work on his birthday, November 17, 2012.
Deputy Eric Johnson, Search and Rescue, Jackson County Sheriff's Office
  • Gave testimony on Day 2 about going out to the campsite with Deputy Jason Denton, discovering the tent rolled up and thrown off a cliff with what looked like a body inside, and rappelling down to the tent, cutting it open, and calling for assistance.
Mr. Ben Jump, friend of Kris Lubbers, Medford, OR
  • Gave testimony on Day 13 which gave Kris Lubbers an alibi for the night Chris was killed.
Detective Geoffrey Kirkpatrick, Medford Police Department
  • Gave testimony on Day 3 about the interview of Patricia on November 20, 2012, with Sergeant James Randall and Detective Bryan Scott.
Corporal Jeremiah LaRue, Siskiyou County Sheriff
  • Gave testimony on Day 7 about the recovery of the tent with Chris' body inside.
Officer Travis Lee, Crime Scene Officer, Oregon State Police
  • Gave testimony on Day 3 about his part of the investigation at: Sherm's Food 4 Less, the Checker Cab Company, and the FTD call center.
Mr. Brett Liddicoet, Computer Forensics, Northern California Computer Crime Task Force
  • Gave testimony on Day 7 about the information found on Patricia's computer, including her browsing history and emails.
Ms. Amber Lubbers, ex-step sister of Patricia, Medford, OR
  • Gave testimony on Day 9 and Day 10 about going to the campsite with Chris and Patricia, hiding while Patricia shot Chris, helping Patricia dispose of the body and then lying to try to cover up the crime. She accepted a plea bargain in return for her testimony.
Mr. Richard Marcello, Cab Driver, G2G Taxi, Medford, OR
  • Gave testimony on Day 7 about Chris' character and his desire to get back together with his family.
Detective Jacques Morlet, Major Crimes Division Siskiyou County Sheriff
  • Gave testimony on Day 7 about his interview with Patricia during the search of her house on November 23, 2012, and, while taking her to pick up her car, what she told him about her route through Jacksonville on the way to the campsite.
Ms. Bonnie Mortensen, Forensic Technician, Siskiyou County Sheriff
  • Gave testimony on Day 3, Day 4, and Day 5 about the evidence collected at the campsite, at Patricia's home when it was searched on November 23, 2012, and at the St. Vincent de Paul thrift store. Her testimony appears in a single post: Mortensen testimony.
Detective Jeff Moser, Siskiyou County Sheriff
  • Gave testimony on Day 12 and Day 13 about the search of Patricia's home on November 23, 2012 and about the arrest of Amber Lubbers, her plea bargain, and her confession.
Mr. Erich Norum, friend of Kris Lubbers, Medford, OR
  • Gave testimony on Day 13 which gave Kris Lubbers an alibi for the night Chris was killed.
Dr. James Olson, Medical Examiner, lower six counties, Oregon
  • Gave testimony on Day 4 about Chris' autopsy and the number and location of his wounds.
Investigator Marc Perrin, Supervising Investigator, Siskiyou County District Attorney
  • Gave testimony on Day 11 about the social websites Patricia was visiting after she and Chris reconciled and the conversations she was having with other men on those websites. He also testified about the interview he conducted of Amber Lubbers the night she was arrested.
Detective Sergeant James Randall, Siskiyou County Sheriff
  • Gave testimony on Day 12 about recovering the tent with Chris' body inside and taking it to the Jackson County morgue, about his interview with Patricia on November 20, 2012, and the search of Patricia's home on November 23, 2012.
Sergeant Shawn Richards, Search and Rescue, Jackson County Sheriff
  • Gave testimony on Day 2 about organizing search and rescue officers to go to the campsite.
Detective Bryan Scott, Oregon State Police
  • Gave testimony on Day 3 about his participation in the interview of Patricia, with Sgt. James Randall and Detective Geoffrey Kirkpatrick, on November 20, 2012.
Ms. Angela Setsodi, friend of Chris, Medford, OR
  • Gave testimony on Day 11 about Chris' character and how much he wanted to get back together with his family.
Mr. Thomas Vasquez, Criminalist, California Department of Justice Laboratory, Redding, CA
  • Gave testimony on Day 6 and Day 7 about the bullets found at the crime scene and found during the autopsy and the gun case and ammunition found in Patricia's home.
Mr. Garrett Weschler, Owner Checker Cab Co., Medford, OR
  • Gave testimony on Day 12 about Chris' intention of working on his birthday, November 17, 2012.
